If you’re looking for a cozy winter weekend trip, go to Vail, Colorado. It’s about a 2 hour from Denver Airport. Vail is perfect for a quick and romantic weekend getaway for couples with fancy restaurants and cozy hotels. 2. Cannon Beach, Oregon
My husband and I had a romantic couple’s weekend getaway in February 2023 at Cannon Beach, Oregon. It was a perfect spot along the Oregon coast. We flew into Portland (coming from Denver which was an easy flight), rented a car, and drove about an hour and a half to the coast. Cannon Beach is an amazing quiet spot with an epic view of the Pacific Coast. The beach here is incredible and great for long walks or sitting on the beach and watching the sunset.

If you’re into big cities, my top pick is New York City. It’s filled with romantic things to do for couples like carriage rides, catching a Broadway show, going on a sunset cruise, or helicopter ride. There is also dining at a romantic restaurant with a city view, or taking a trip to the top of the Empire State Building.
Fly into either LaGuardia or JFK and catch a cab into the city. Manhattan has so many options for romantic places to stay.
