Mom’s List of Things to Pack for Disneyland
Packing for a Disneyland vacation can be both exciting and daunting. As my kids have grown into tweens and teens, one thing that still stands is their unwavering love for Disneyland. Whether it’s spring, fall, or the middle of summer, Disneyland is always a great place to be (despite the crowds!).
In this post, I’ll share the best things to pack for parents and kids to ensure everyone has a fantastic time.
Disneyland Packing List
Backpacks or Crossbody Bags
A backpack or crossbody bag is a great thing to have to carry all your essential goods, from water to snacks to your phone essentials, this will come in handy. At Disneyland, you don’t want a bulky or heavy backpack and you want one that will fit on rides with you.
Below are some great options for carrying your stuff through the park.
- Contains 2 main pockets, a front pocket, two side pockets, and a back pocket.
- The sling bag has a hidden pocket in the back, so you can safely store your credit card and cash, reducing the risk of theft.
- I love my Travelon bag and it’s great for carrying all the essentials.
- Mesh expansion pockets hold a water bottle, umbrella, or sunglasses; tethered key clip with LED light.
- Anti-theft zippers keep your credit cards and money safe plus it has an RFID blocker.
- These are another good option as they are super cute and lightweight.

Accessories for Your Bag
Below are accessories you will want to bring while at the happiest place.
- You’ll be using your cell phone a lot at Disneyland so a portable charger is a must. Tip: Make sure you have the Disneyland app so you can see wait times, store your park tickets, and manage your trip!
- This has 3 types of cables, Mirco USB, USB C, and plugs into the wall to recharge.
- Charge all your Magic Bands + use only one outlet in your hotel room while on your Disney trip.
- Can charge up to 4 Magic Bands at one time.
- While California is typically not that rainy, these are good to have just in case and these are great for water rides when you don’t want to get wet!
- These are great to have with you while standing in long lines in the hot sun.
- Neck fans are amazing for keeping you cool hands-free.
- It’s important to stay hydrated and these will save you money as this is a refillable water bottle and bottled water is expensive in the park!

- A Disney reusable water bottle is great for keeping kids hydrated.
- These are great stackable, interlocking containers for bringing snacks into the park.
- These are a good idea for keeping track of your kiddos, I wish these existed just a few years back when my kids were little!
- Air tags for the watch bands.
- You never know with kids when you’ll need a small first aid kit!

- For those kids who can get motion sickness.
- Don’t forget the sunscreen for the kids!
- Boogie wipes are great for keeping sticky hands and faces clean.
