Top California Beaches Near Disneyland
After an exciting few days at Disneyland with my daughters, we decided to extend our trip to Southern California by spending a few days at the beautiful beaches of Orange County. Heading to the beach after Disney was so much fun. Orange County is beautiful and easily accessible from the Disneyland area. This was an easy trip to make via Uber. In this post, I’ve listed the top 5 best beaches near Disneyland resort, most all within a 30-minute drive.

1. Huntington Beach
Huntington Beach, aka surf city USA, is one of my favorite beaches in California, and it’s great for kids. I brought my kids here to Huntington State beach when they were younger and they loved it (we stayed at the Hyatt Regency, it was beautiful). With 10 miles of uninterrupted coastline, a very long stretch of sand, and some of the best surf spots in Southern California, it offers plenty of fun. The area has lots of family-friendly activities like walking trails, volleyball courts, picnic areas, an adventure playground, and a great downtown area for dining and shopping with ocean views.
Another great beach in Huntington Beach is Sunset Beach, this is more of a hidden treasure but is great for walking in the sand, sunbathing, and boogie boarding or surfing.
2. Laguna Beach
Laguna Beach is a beautiful and fun coastal city in Orange County. On our recent trip to Disneyland resort, we spent an afternoon here. The girls loved playing on Main Beach, shopping at the art galleries and souvenir shops, and having an amazing dinner overlooking the ocean (we even saw dolphins swimming around). Laguna Beach has lots of great restaurants to chose from, you can’t go wrong.
3. Newport Beach
Another beach my kids and I love in Orange County is Newport Beach, a great family-friendly beach. We had the most amazing time going on a whale watching excursion and seeing literally hundreds of dolphins! There is lots to do in Newport Beach, from visiting Balboa Island, Balboa Pier, to Balboa Fun Zone, shopping, taking boat tours, and sunbathing on the beach.
4. Corona Del Mar State Beach
Corona del Mar State Beach is another picturesque stretch of coastline in the upscale community of Corona del Mar in Newport Beach. This spot is known for its stunning cliffs, golden soft sands, and sparkling waters. The Corona del Mar village near the beach is also a great attraction, offering charming shops and restaurants.
5. Seal Beach
Seal Beach, also located in Orange County, is a cute and charming beach town known for its relaxed atmosphere and quaint seaside vibe. The beach has a long stretch of sandy shoreline, perfect for sunbathing and swimming. Seal Beach also features a pier with stunning coastline views, fishing opportunities, and nearby restaurants.
